Roberto Martinez is hopeful Ross Barkley will be fit for Sunday's game against Arsenal, but retains doubts over captain Phil Jagielka.
Midfielder Barkley was withdrawn at half-time during Everton's 3-1 win over Fulham due to a calf complaint, while the Club skipper has been sidelined with a hamstring problem since February's trip to Chelsea.
"Ross has had two very good days since [the Fulham fixture]. We're going to assess him today and I hope he can join the group today and tomorrow," said Martinez on Friday.
"At the moment, we are very much positive Ross will be available for the squad.
"With Phil, we need to be very, very careful. It's an injury where we need to be sure that we don't get a recurrence.
Roberto Martinez is hopeful of having Ross Barkley available for the game.
"He's still doing his individual programme and the medical department are not ready to allow him to re-join the group.
"We need to play it safe with Phil and I don't think he's going to be available this weekend."
For Arsenal, midfielder Aaron Ramsey is expected to be included in the first-team squad for the first time since picking up a thigh strain on Boxing Day, while left-back Nacho Monreal could also return after a fortnight on the sidelines.
Monreal's fellow full-back Kieran Gibbs is a major doubt due to an ankle complaint, while midfielder Serge Gnabry (knee) is definitely out.
FormEverton go into Sunday's clash having won four straight games since their loss at Arsenal last month and looking to record a staggering ninth straight Goodison victory.
The Blues haven't dropped a single point on home soil since the Boxing Day defeat to Sunderland, hammering 19 goals and conceding just six.
Roberto Martinez's men have also hit three in each of their last three outings, including away victories at Newcastle United and Fulham.
Everton's victory over Swansea last month was an eighth in a row at Goodison - a ninth on Sunday would equal the Club's best home run since 1969.
Should another three points follow this weekend, it will be the first time the Blues have won nine in a row at Goodison since 1986 and equal the Club's best home run since 1969, when 12 straight wins were recorded.
Since our meeting at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal have crashed out of the Champions League to German giants Bayern Munich and been thrashed 6-0 by city rivals Chelsea.
Arsene Wenger's men have also managed a 1-0 win away at fiercest rivals Tottenham and came from behind to earn home draws against Swansea and Manchester City.

Everton fans will need little reminding of what happened when the two sides most recently met in the FA Cup at the beginning of last month, but may have fonder memories of the reverse league fixture - the 1-1 draw at Emirates Stadium in December.
While our Wembley hopes came to an end at the home of the Gunners four weeks ago, it was also the venue for what Roberto Martinez on Friday described as the Blues' "most complete away performance" of the entire campaign.
Gerard Deulofeu celebrates his late leveller at Emirates Stadium in December.
The Toffees bossed their hosts for large periods in North London and more than deserved the point they earned when substitute Gerard Deulofeu cancelled out Mesut Ozil's 80th-minute opener with just six minutes remaining. Watch highlights from that game here.
Last season's league clash at Goodison Park also ended in a 1-1 draw, with Marouane Fellaini grabbing the all-important leveller as Everton again came from behind to take a share of the points.
What's Happening At GoodisonWhile the 90 minutes on the pitch will provide the main talking points on Sunday, Everton are once again hoping to make it a memorable matchday off the field.
Thai New Year and the Toffees' recently-extended partnership with main sponsor Chang will provide the theme for the day, with plenty of festivities planned for the Fan Zone and around the ground.
Entertainment and giveaways have been sponsored by Chang, so junior Blues can get their hands on free Changy masks - while 10,000 Chang-Everton wristbands will also be handed out to commemorate the 10-year association.
Chang t-shirts, as modelled by Kevin Mirallas, will be up for grabs at Sunday's game.
Chang-branded t-shirts, as modelled by Kevin Mirallas (above), can be picked up at the ground.
Fans can also drop off Easter eggs to aid the Club's 1878 egg campaign. Click here to read more.
Evertonian singer Jennifer Jewell will host the Fan Zone alongside regular compere Graeme White, and Blues can have a free souvenir picture taken in the popular photobooth.
Local Bluenose singer Gary Barker will also be performing on stage.
Thai food will be available in the Fan Zone courtesy of Chaophraya, and supporters aged 18 and over can wash it down with free samples of Chang from a specially-branded Tuk Tuk vehicle.
Ladies in traditional Thai dress will stand pitchside as the players walk onto the pitch, and a video will be shown on the stadium screens to support the Thai Children's Charity. Supporters will also be able to enjoy a very special video as Everton players partake in their own Thai New Year celebrations.
There will be the usual half-time pitch coaching sessions for youngsters led by Everton in the Community, so keep an eye out for staff and your child could be selected before kick-off.
The traditional FanCam will be scanning Goodison at the interval and putting supporters on the big screens, before a lucky Blue is chosen to win a meal for two at Chaophraya, sponsored by Chang
