Barca Chief Hints at Summer Return for £12m AC Milan Loanee & Out of Favour Everton AceBarcelona are looking into the possibility of bringing Gerard Deulofeu back to the club, after the winger fell out of favour at current club Everton. The Catalan club's secretary, Robert Fernandez, was quoted in Spanish media publication Sport about Deulofeu making a remarkable return to the Nou Camp after two years away from his former employers. Deulofeu is on a six-month loan with AC Milan after he fell down the pecking order at Goodison Park and, with Barca having the option to re-sign their former youth star for around £12m, Fernandez admitted that the La Liga champions were considering making a move to bring him home. He said: "Deulofeu was at Everton and not playing. He went on loan to Milan, where he's playing and has been called up to the Spain team. It's good news. I think it's 12 million to bring him back. "We have the possibility and it's good. I am very happy with what's happening." Everton also have the option to sell Deulofeu to other clubs for a fee of around £15.5m, but Barcelona have a first refusal clause in place if the Toffees decide to part with Deulofeu enjoyed a productive season-long loan with the Toffees during former manager Roberto Martinez's maiden campaign in charge on Merseyside, and became a firm fans' favourite for his unpredictable style and ability to score goals out of nothing. The Spain international was left frustrated by another loan spell away from Barcelona - this time with Sevilla - during the 2014/15 campaign, before he joined Everton once more after he completed a £4m permanent move that summer. The 23-year-old became a key component in Everton's side as his assists provided the ammunition for star striker Romelu Lukaku to fire home on a regular basis, but his performances dipped considerable as the Blues struggled for form for the second season running under the maligned Martinez before his sacking in May 2016. Current Blues boss Ronald Koeman offered Deulofeu the opportunity to rediscover his best form during the first half of this term but, after the Dutchman become annoyed at Deulofeu's lack of desire to implement his pressing style of play. Deulofeu's last chances to impress came in the defeat to Watford back in December and the FA Cup loss to Leicester in january but, after failing to convince Koeman of his quality, was frozen out and shipped off to Milan in January's transfer window. The forward has since gone on appear 10 times for I Rossoneri, bagged his first goal for Vincenzo Montella's team in the 2-1 win over Fiorentina in February and earned a first senior international call-up due to his performance for Milan. 90min.com

I don't think he's anything special. A player who might change a game but not one that you'd play for 90 minutes.
