Midfielder (no longer at Everton)
Midfielder Michelle, born 12 June 1990 in Kirkby, was thrown into the spotlight during 2007/08 due to a number of injuries to first-team regulars.
Michelle certainly excelled when called upon by Mo Marley and is certainly part of new boss Andy Spence’s plans.
She has great technical ability and excellent awareness on the pitch.
Michelle has been rewarded with international recognition for England at under-17 and 20 levels.
She netted a brace in Everton’s 7-0 win at Oxford United which booked their place in the 2013 quarter-finals.
Hinnigan attended Loughborough University on the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme.
With the departure of former skipper Jill Scott, Michelle - who has come through the ranks at Everton - was handed the captain's armband ahead of the 2014 campaign.
Michelle left Everton Ladies in September 2017 having decided she was unable to commit to a full-time, professional football career, owing to her occupation as a teacher.
