At Everton between 2022 - 2023
On 15th July 2022, Everton announced the signing of Jessica Park, on loan from Manchester City, for the 2022-2023 season.
Forward Park was the first signing in Brian Sorensen’s reign as Everton Women's manager.
Having been with Manchester City since 2017, Park is considered one of England’s brightest young players, and had just signed a 3 year contract extension with City in June 2022.
She joined Everton with an eagerness to learn and a desire to develop her game to the next level.
“I’m really excited for the season,” said Park.
“Historically, this is a club known for developing young players – which I am – and I’m looking forward to being part of that process. I’ve played alongside some of the girls who have come through the ranks here like Jill Scott and Izzy Christiansen."
“I’m just really excited to meet the team and get started.”
Park added that discussions with Everton manager Sorensen were a key factor in deciding to join the Toffees on loan.
“I’ve had a few conversations with Brian and after each one I have been left really impressed,” Park continued.
“I’m an attacking player who likes to get the ball at my feet and run at players. I like to play with freedom, assist, score goals. Hopefully I can bring that to the team. I’m eager to start with Brian and learn his way of football."
Sorensen admired both the quality and personality Park possesses, and was really pleased to bring Jess to the Club.
Park returned to her parent club Manchester City at the end of the loan period.
