I’m frustrated . How typical of us to give 2-3 points to teams from the bottom. Selfishness again took its toll from us. Before Snodgrass hit upper 90 both Mirallas and Barkley had an opportunity to pass wisely instead of shot, so it could be 1-3 or at least 1-2. Everton don't play well against average teams. We only get a head of steam up if it's one of the big clubs, except Chelsea, City, and Liverpool.

We hit the bar and post , so thin margins and the result could have been very different. But the all round team performance was very average tbh Why bring Jagielka back?

We can play better than that. I hate the way Everton can't beat shit teams. How do you beat Arsenal and lose to the teams we do?

Ronald Koeman was happy with the reaction of his players as they twice fought back from a goal down to draw at Hull City. After Hull skipper Michael Dawson had opened the scoring after just six minutes, a David Marshall own goal levelled matters on the stroke of half-time. The Tigers went back in front through Robert Snodgrass’ free-kick on 65 minutes but the Blues earned a point when Ross Barkley nodded in a late equaliser. Koeman praised the character of his team but was left to rue the fact they didn't add to their tally. “It was a good football game, really open, and we had the better chances,” he said. “We scored twice and had a good reaction on both occasions to going behind. We didn’t start the game well, conceding very fast, but we had luck to go in level at half-time. “In the second half we played well. We played really offensively but we knew about the quality of Snodgrass from set-pieces. He had already been unlucky with a free-kick but his second made it 2-1. “But, once again, the team showed a good reaction and character to make it 2-2 and after that we did everything to try to win the game. Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a big chance with a header but we settle for a point. That’s four from the last two away games and the performance tonight was okay.” Once again, Everton were bereft of good fortune despite the circumstances of the own goal that led to the first equaliser. Twice they struck the woodwork, as first Seamus Coleman crashed a header against a post, then Marshall tipped a deflected Lukaku shot onto the bar. “Sometimes we are a little short of luck, added the Blues boss. "What was better tonight than against Leicester was we had more ball possession, we created more chances and we were more dangerous. “We have scored two goals away from home and that is not bad. We have had some other good chances – Romelu was unlucky, Seamus was unlucky, Dominic too. We took all the risk to try to win but in the end it wasn’t to be.”
