Chievo is ready to make some moves in the January mercato. Their coach Corini wants a central defender who could improve the team, they like Sunderland’s Diakite’ and Atalanta’s Canini. For the midfield they are interested in bringing back Cofie from Genoa, or Livorno’s Greaco.
On potential sales the most requested player is former Juve winger Estigarribia. Three days ago there was an inquiry from Everton, their managers Roberto Martinez had tried to acquire him when he was at Wigan. At that time Estigarribia choose to join Sampdoria. Everton also features his teammate on Paraguay’s NT Alvarez.
Everton is aware that they also need to deal with Deportivo Maldonado who owns part of Estigarribia’s rights. The two clubs that own Estigaribbia have asked for 700,000 euro for a loan with a forced 3 and a half million option to buy should Everton reach preliminary round of Champions League. Sporting Lisbon is also interested in him, but in that case Deportivo Maldonado would only sell for 4 million euro. So far the offers have been low
