He's a squad player at best now.

McCarthy heading for Everton exit
Everton are looking to offload midfielder James McCarthy this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Republic of Ireland international has found himself starting the season at right wing-back as Toffees manager Ronald Koeman prefers Gareth Barry and Idrissa Gueye in the middle of the park.
He's not kicked on from his first season and if RK didn't fancy him well I can see him being sold. I would rather keep the better squad players and get rid of the dross of Kone and Mcgeedy. McCarthy was substituted in Everton’s 2-1 victory over West Brom at the weekend after just 38 minutes.

Have we any concrete news on replacing him if he goes? The squad is already down in number's, add injuries to that and players released, we will be at the bare bones level of first teamers if we are not bringing in quality additions. It's all well and good getting rid of player's RK dosn't fancy, but it's pointless if top class is not bought.

Unless we sign another DM in the next coming days.

Is the rest half way down your opinion as I can't see it coming from Koeman?
