I saw this piece by David Downie who I remember from my time on GOT as LCAB and wondered what you thought of it, and if you shared his view? He, like many others, seem in high spirits at the moment, but is it really all down to Martinez? footyscene.com/everton-the-right-to-be-disappointed/#comment-91706I'm personally not so quick to jump on the 'Martinez is the Messiah' bandwagon just yet, even if he has my full support, as I feel he has had a very healthy foundation indeed to work with, and he needs to prove himself over a much longer period, so hope my response doesn't sound too .... well .... like me ha ha. I liked the reverse psychology by Tex about turning 'only beaten twice' into failing to win 10 times, and so swung with that to see how it dropped.

While he is doing OK I can't believe the massive overreaction to him, we played football just as well last yr without having Barkley in the team. Get a worse result than Spurs the weekend and we are in the same position as Moyes finished last year so why the big build up to a manager who was very lucky to get the job in the 1st place?

it's the new breed of football fan that have little emotional connection to a manager after eleven seasons and are quick to take their new bird to the pub and declare her the best bird they've had. I just ignore it all an judge for myself and so far so good and not getting too excited about the short skirt and frillies on bobby even if you would if you know what i mean
