Everton will sanction loans for James McCarthy and Oumar Niasse . McCarthy is returning to full fitness after a double break in his leg suffered last January and will be involved over Christmas, but the club want him to get back to regular action – and that is unlikely to be on offer at Goodison Park. Marco Silva sees a big part for McCarthy in his long-term plans, but he is happy to let him leave on a loan deal for the season. The Republic of Ireland star, 28, has interest from Fulham, Brighton and Burnley, and will talk with Silva before deciding on which club would be best. Niasse is in demand too, and Silva has also agreed that the Senegal star can leave on loan, with Huddersfield and Crystal Palace in the running. www.mirror.co.uk

Marcel Brands and his staff are "tracking" Italy U21 centre half Gianluca Mancini, according to The Mirror. They claim that Everton are keeping an eye on the 22-year-old's situation to see if he elects to sign an extension to his current contract which still has four years to run.
Mancini has begun to attract attention in his 14 appearances for Atalanta this season for whom he has scored four goals.

Everton are reportedly looking at Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes. According to A Bola, the Portuguese international is wanted by his fellow countryman Marco Silva to strengthen the Everton midfield.
The report suggests that, despite his €100 million (£89.5 million) release clause, he is likely to cost around €40 million (£35.8 million). The 24-year-old, who has 11 caps for Portugal, is undoubtedly a talented player.
