Without casting negatives at Baines, and instead concentrating on positives, are we playing better since Oviedo has grabbed his opportunity, and did the Merseyside Derby come at exactly the right time for us?

I would be prepared to say that if Oviedo keeps going then it would be wrong for Baines to walk straight back into the team. He has impressed his doubters with strong games and Baines hasn't been any better if we are truthful.

Nice to see you posting Jona and a big welcome back mate. I am terrible for putting 2 and 2 together and getting 7 with my conspiracy theories ha ha, and was thinking to myself 'what if Baines toe is fine, and he asked to be sold in the next window, so they are playing Oviedo so we get used to the idea, and don't go into terminal shock when he leaves 2 minutes before the window closes". I even considered Jordan Henderson being in on the act with a crafty brown envelope jobby to foul him.

It's good to have choices for each position and it would be nice to see some form of rotation to ensure everybody is getting a fair chance. I used to hate seeing the same players play every week regardless of whether they were playing well or not.
