Rio Ferdinand criticises Manchester United boss David Moyes for late team selections 6 Dec 2013 15:44 The classy defender reckons his delay in telling players if they will feature in games is driving them 'mad' Rio Ferdinand reckons Manchester United's poor showing this season might be down boss David Moyes's late team selection. The United manager is coming under increasing pressure to kick start their faltering title defence. His mid-table team are already 12 points behind league leaders Arsenal after a shock 1-0 defeat at home to his former side Everton. The loss all but ended their hopes of keeping the Premier League trophy at Old Trafford at the end of the season. And former England skipper Ferdinand, who has not featured in the last two winless games, lays the blame squarely at the door of the new boss as the players try to adjust to life after legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson who stepped down in the summer. He told BT Sport: "This manager is a bit different in that he doesn't name the team beforehand, you don't get to know the team. "The old manager used to give you a little bit of an idea if you were playing. "When you know you're playing the intensity goes up a little bit I'd say. "That's what you've got to try and do even if you're not sure if you're playing, get to that intensity. "It's hard to do mentally. You spend a lot of nervous energy thinking 'am I playing, am I not playing'. "Keep just going round in circles in your head, enough to turn you into a mad man." Source: Mirror

So why didn't he discuss it with his manager instead of being a total ars-hole and talking to the press. It must be awful trying to be professional and being ready when needed for your 100k per week. What a c-unt.
