Only four of Everton’s loan stars were in action over the weekend. Luke Garbutt played the full game - and was booked - as Fulham were held to a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm Stadium. The result keeps the Cottagers in 19th place in the Championship table, just four points above the drop zone. In League One, Conor Grant featured in Doncaster Rovers’ entertaining 2-2 draw with high-flying Gillingham. The midfielder completed the full 90 minutes in a contest which saw Rovers trailing by two goals with just a quarter of an hour remaining. In the division below, Ryan Ledson and Liam Walsh both also earned starts for Cambridge United and Yeovil Town respectively. Ledson was substituted in the 77th-minute of the U’s 2-1 defeat at Morecambe, while Walsh was brandished with a yellow card as the Glovers and Luton Town played out a goalless stalemate. It was a free weekend for David Henen as Fleetwood Town’s trip to Rochdale fell victim to the weather. New signing Shani Tarashaj, who has been loaned back to Grasshopper Zurich, was not in action either as it is currently Swiss football’s mid-season break. Meanwhile, Francisco Junior missed Wigan Athletic’s 3-1 victory over Chesterfield through injury.
