I'm not ready to say Martinez is better than Moyes. Lukaku has been his saving grace and if we had him last year I reckon we would have gotten top 4. RM is a likeable fellow but fans at Everton are on the rebound at the moment and angry at Moyes. Take away Lukaku and we could have been in the shit this year.

Lukaku is papering over major cracks in the Martinez Team I think it's important to remember that we are playing Barkley, McCarthy, and Barry in the midfield, while Pienaar and Gibson have been injured. All 3 are new to the Everton team, so as they gel we might become defensively better. Strikers have been running in behind us. Remember Madrid? (if you don't check the preseason section under Everton). I'm not the best of coaches so don't have the answers, but I think if we can combat this we should plug the holes.

An insight from Raziel regarding their signing policy related to the graveyard question: We had every ambition to be a CL club, but if you don't have the money you don't have the money. It would be futile to put our club in huge debt when our competitors are billionaires. It risks the club, and nobody wants that. Better to have history than be history.
