Calum Dyson was on target again for Stockport County as the Hatters recorded a 3-2 away victory over AFC Fylde on Monday afternoon. Everton teammate Jordan Thorniley was an unused substitute, while Dyson, who was introduced as 67th-minute substitute, took just five minutes to get on the scoresheet at Kellamergh Park. It was the second game in a Bank Holiday weekend double-header for Stockport - and the victory over Fylde was the perfect response after a shock 3-0 reverse against Stalybridge on Saturday. Both Dyson and Thorniley played the full 90 minutes again as three second-half strikes resigned Alan Lord’s side to defeat at Edgeley Park. Elsewhere, Jonjoe Kenny helped Wigan Athletic to a 1-0 home win over Crewe Alexandra. Michael Jacobs’ header on 12 minutes was enough to seal all three points for the Latics, who climbed to 11th in Sky Bet League One. Kenny, who was booked in the contest, played 90 minutes - but midfielder Francisco Junior was not involved. Finally, Luke Garbutt, who has joined Fulham on a season-long loan, missed the Cottagers’ 3-1 win against Rotherham as he continues his recovery from an ankle ligament injury at Finch Farm.
