I looked at his minutes under other City bosses and he was getting played regularly so surprised he became available, especially in the last year of contract so presume it was to do with the World Cup + his age. Whether he will be such a determined player next season remains to be seen once the WC is over, but he will be a free agent, and if he did get to the WC and had a good tournament then we could see him move on. |

He'll probably be offered a similar contract to Distin if he proves himself, but his wages are an issue. |
