Everton's Away Day Pledge 
Everton Football Club has pledged to assist its own travelling support, as well as fans visiting Goodison Park, as part of the Barclays Premier League Away Fans Initiative.
The Premier League asked all clubs to set aside funds to encourage and increase away fans attendance across the league. We are fully supportive of this concept and have given a huge amount of time and commitment to identifying and implementing its aims. This is a long-term project and, with that, all aspects of away support, both at Goodison Park and our travelling fans, required consideration.
Everton prides itself on a fantastic and passionate support wherever and whenever the team goes on the road, and the initial focus of the Club’s attention was to reward those Evertonians who travel up and down the country.
The commitment to the Premier League’s campaign was then directed on making Goodison Park a destination that visiting fans would find welcoming, safe and memorable, so a series of initiatives have been implemented to improve the experience for both home and away supporters.
Alan Myers, Director of Communications, said: “Detailed thought and consideration has been given to the Premier League's Away Fan Initiative and we believe we have met its criteria in a fully inclusive, encompassing and innovative manner.
“We look forward to making the ‘Away Day Experience’ a rewarding and enjoyable one for all supporters and, of course, making our fans proud to be Blue.”

EVERTONIANS ON THE ROAD Christmas is a time when budgets are tight and the financial burden is at its most intense, so to help Evertonians, the Club will offer discounted tickets for festive away fixtures.

his includes:•£5 discount for the Manchester United fixture on 4 December
•£5 discount for the Arsenal fixture on 8 December
•£5 discount for the Swansea City fixture on 22 December
•£5 discount for the Stoke City fixture on 1 January 2014
In addition, all junior Evertonians travelling to Stoke City on New Year’s Day will be able to buy a ticket for just £1 - a discount of £15 on the normal purchase price.
A number of further initiates will be implemented including:
•The introduction of a dedicated Away Fan Ambassador role within the Club, someone who will be on hand for match day issues and to source deals that benefit travelling fans.
•Everton shirts sent to each Premier League club with a request for staff in concourse kiosks in the away section to wear them.
DESTINATION GOODISON PARK
Junior away fan experience•10 junior away supporters randomly selected from the crowd every matchday to carry their team’s flag at kick-off. The flags are provided by Everton Football Club to give the junior supporters a unique experience when attending Goodison Park. The young fans have the chance to take in the atmosphere at kick-off from the pitch - an opportunity not afforded by any other Premier League Club.
•Junior fans are randomly selected from the away section to take part in half-time pitch coaching with Everton in the Community at each game. The away supporters play alongside the home supporters and, once again, this is an entirely unique opportunity for the youngsters.

To enhance the experience of home and away supporters, up to £5,000 has been allocated for each game to deliver a host of activities including giveaways, live music, a Players’ Parade and concourse improvements.
In addition, Goodison Park will host 12 'themed' games to create a truly memorable matchday for supporters, particularly juniors. So far this season, hundreds of supporters took part in the ‘March to the Match’ celebration for the first game of the campaign, and thousands enjoyed a ‘Fan Fiesta’ ahead of the home game against Chelsea in September.
•For the rest of the season, the Club will bring a series of themes to life, including a Winter Wonderland at Christmas, Junior Fans’ Day, Lighting Up the Stadium, and an Easter Hunt.
•The Fan Zone in the Park End car park has been extended so that a greater number of supporters – home and away – can enjoy the pre-match atmosphere alongside each other. This expansion has included the installation of portaloos, new food outlets and increased activity with Club partners, such as EA Sports.

•Staff in the concourse kiosks (in the away section) at Goodison Park to wear the shirt of the away team to help make visiting supporters feel at home.
•Posters displayed in the away section of Goodison Park to welcome them to the stadium and thank travelling fans for their support.
Services for travelling fans•All Everton matchday staff, including stewards, issued with fact sheets/cards so that if they are approached by visiting fans, they can provide instant answers to any queries.
•2013/14 Visiting Supporters’ Guide produced by Everton Football Club to help travelling fans to get the most from their visit to Goodison Park and assist them to find their way around the stadium. The Guide will be sent to each Premier League club so that the information can be posted on their website ahead of the away fixture.
Recruitment•Matchday ambassadors recruited to offer advice to home and away supporters visiting Goodison Park. The new team, carrying ‘Happy to Help’ signs, are stationed at various locations around the stadium at each home game to provide assistance to visiting fans.
•Memorable Matchday Event Manager appointed to enhance fan experience at Goodison Park– for both home and away supporters.
Community and Heritage•Everton has committed to spend up to £5,000 to renovate part of St Luke’s Church. The refurbished section of the church will be used to create activities and events on a matchday for home and away supporters, in conjunction with The Everton Heritage Society. The events and activities will showcase Everton’s history and traditions.
