Everton Plot January Swoop For Porto Midfielder Everton boss Roberto Martinez is lining up another move for Porto midfielder Fernando after rivals Inter Milan have pulled out of the race for his signature. Martinez plotted a £15million summer swoop for the 26-year-old which was rejected but is set to make another offer for Fernando when the January transfer window re-opens. The Brazilian is set to leave the club next summer when his contract expires and could therefore mean that Everton sign the midfielder on the cheap. A £15million bid was rejected in the summer because it was thought that Inter Milan were in the chase and the Portuguese side could receive more money but the Serie A side have reportedly pulled out of the deal handing a boost to Everton's new boss according to Talk Sport. Fernando joined Porto in 2007 and has made 122 appearances for the side and has yet to break into the Brazilian national squad.
