The exact date is unknown but many of the individuals also appear in a photograph known to have been taken at the end of the 1893-94 season.Southampton Football Club is an English football club, nicknamed The Saints, based in the city of Southampton, Hampshire, who compete in the Premier League. The Saints' home ground is the St Mary's Stadium, where the club moved to in 2001 from The Dell. The club has been nicknamed "The Saints" since its inception in 1885 due to its history as a church football team, founded as St Mary's Church of England Young Men's Association (or St Mary's Y.M.A) and has since generally played in red and white shirts. The club has a long standing rivalry with Portsmouth due to its close proximity and both cities' respective maritime history. Matches between the two sides are known as the South Coast Derby. The club has won the FA Cup once in 1976, and their highest-ever league finish was second in the First Division in 1983–84. Southampton were relegated from the Premier League on 15 May 2005 ending 27 successive seasons of top-division football for the club. The club eventually returned to the Premier league after a 7 year absence and have been playing there since the 2012–13 season.

I nearly forgot we have a match on Saturday. It will be more difficult than the last 2 that's for sure.

Things have gotten that bad I'd take a draw even though we have a good record against them.

Injury update:Arouna Kone is available for the visit of Southampton - but Romelu Lukaku will have a fitness test on Friday. Darron Gibson is yet to resume full training but could yet make it, while K evin Mirallas and Steven Pienaar are also in contention. It means Bryan Oviedo and Tony Hibbert are the only two players definitely absent from Roberto Martinez's squad, with the Toffees looking to bag a third successive Premier League win. Speaking at his press conference on Thursday, the Blues boss said: "We had three knocks at QPR. Of those, Darron Gibson and Romelu Lukaku missed their international matches and Romelu will have a fitness test tomorrow. We'll make a decision based on that. He's 50/50. " Darron Gibson hasn't joined the group yet but we're hopeful he could make it for weekend and Arouna Kone is 100 per cent fit; he trained yesterday. " Kevin Mirallas has joined the group again and we're going to assess him, and the same for Steven Pienaar. We'll see how those two do in the next two training days. " Tony Hibbert and Bryan Oviedo are the only two players definitely not available." Kone had been a doubt after undergoing a scan on his knee following the 2-1 win at Loftus Road on 22 March but could now make his third successive Premier League start. Lukaku withdrew from Belgium's squad for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Cyprus and Israel due to a hamstring problem, while Gibson missed Republic of Ireland's 1-1 draw with Poland due to a stomach strain. Mirallas, another absentee from the Belgium party, has not featured for the Blues since the home game against Dynamo Kyiv on 12 March, with Pienaar (knee) targeting his first outing since December after returning to training earlier this week. Hibbert (knee) and Oviedo (hamstring) have been out since December and February respectively.
