Chris Long’s loan stay at Brentford has been extended by a further month. The forward moved to Griffin Park on a temporary deal at the end of January and made five appearances for the Championship outfit in his initial month-long stint. Long scored his first goal for the Bees on Saturday in their 3-1 victory over high-flying Bournemouth. Brentford currently sit in seventh place in English football’s second tier, one point from the play-off places and just five points adrift of the automatic promotion positions. Mark Warburton’s team face a busy month ahead, with Long potentially being involved in Championship matches against Blackpool, Birmingham City, Huddersfield Town, Ipswich Town, Cardiff City, Blackburn Rovers and Millwall in the next four weeks.
