West Ham United have announced the termination of Ravel Morrison’s contract with immediate effect.The midfielder’s departure was announced in a short statement on West Ham’s website that wished Morrison “every success in his future career”. Morrison had fallen out with the east London club’s manager, Sam Allardyce, last season and has not played for West Ham since August. A subsequent loan spell at Cardiff City was unsuccessful and Morrison had been told he was free to leave Upton Park last month. However, Morrison had indicated he was prepare to let his contract run down and leave in the summer, having been linked with Lazio in last month’s transfer window. But West Ham have now decided to let the player go. Morrison made only 24 appearances in three years at the club, scoring five goals. Source: Guardian
