Emmanuel Adebayor was prevented from joining West Ham on loan on deadline day after the move was apparently vetoed by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.Spurs were willing to allow the striker to join either Crystal Palace or QPR on Monday, while paying part of his £100,000-a-week salary. The 30-year-old rejected both offers and his preference was to join West Ham, who made a late bid. However, Levy made it clear that he would not countenance a deal with their bitter rivals, much to the annoyance of the West Ham co-owner David Gold. Source: Guardian
