Matthew Pennington helped Coventry City climb up the table as the Sky Blues recorded a 2-0 away win over Walsall this weekend. The on-loan defender, who signed a one-month extension with Steven Pressley's side earlier this week, played the full 90 minutes as Coventry moved up to 16th in League One. The visitors got off to a flier when Jim O'Brien opened the scoring inside six minutes. Pennington himself went close to notching a maiden goal for the Midlands side minutes later, only to be denied by a fine save from Saddlers' goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell. Then, after missing from the penalty spot, Marcus Tudgay made amends with three minutes remaining by heading home O'Brien's corner to seal the victory. Elsewhere, Connor Hunt was not selected in Hyde's 16-man squad as the Tigers played out a breathtaking 4-4 draw with Barrow at Ewen Fields. Hallam Hope, who is set to complete a permanent move to Bury this weekend, could not prevent the Shakers from falling to a 1-0 defeat at Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday. The forward completed 57 minutes but Rhys Murphy's 51st-minute strike was enough to see the hosts take all three points in League Two.

I thought Hallam Hope was going to be the one to move up to the 1st team but it hasn't worked out for him.
