Everton have notched a North West Football Awards double, scooping the Premier League Community Club of the Year and Best Club Sponsorship and Marketing Engagement prizes. It is the fourth year in succession that Everton in the Community has been named the region's leading scheme by the MBNA-sponsored awards. On this occasion, the Blues' charity saw off competition from Manchester City's City in the Community and Manchester United's Man Utd Foundation. The Best Club Sponsorship and Marketing Engagement prize came in recognition of the Club’s ‘We Are Evertonians’ Season Ticket campaign. The innovative project utilised online and offline platforms to drive a highly-interactive approach to the Club’s 2014/15 Season Ticket sales period and overcame rival campaigns by Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City and Manchester United. 'We Are Evertonians', which among other elements included a series of videos showcasing the matchday routines of loyal supporters, helped deliver remarkable results in terms of Season Ticket sales for the current season. From the outset, the passion of Evertonians was at the heart of the campaign and that has been borne out this season with full-houses for each of the Club’s Premier League fixtures. And, with sales of Half Season Tickets already almost double the number at the same point 12 months ago, there is clearly an insatiable appetite for the football being delivered under Roberto Martinez.
