How much rest will Everton FC's squad get after the international break? Roberto Martinez will not have wanted an international break after such a slow start, but how long will he have to rectify that before Aston Villa? Roberto Martinez on the touchlineAfter a slow start to the season, the international break has come at the worst time for Everton FC boss Roberto Martinez. But frustratingly for the Spaniard, he's one of the managers who will have the least time with his squad following their trips abroad. While Manchester United players will have an average of 6.6 days rest between playing their international fixture and their next league game – the highest in the Premier League – the Blues have just an average of 4.5 days. Their figure isn't helped with a Saturday kick-off at home to Aston Villa. That's in the bottom half of the league, and less time than Liverpool (6.2), Arsenal (4.8), Manchester City (4.6) and Chelsea (4.6). The good news for Martinez is that only three of his players have the shortest time between club and country duty, while six players will have the most rest.
