Well I thoroughly enjoyed that match, I know there were parts when we slackened off a little bit at at times but all in all it was great - still room for improvement though. We looked more hungry this time as if we really wanted it and it showed, great goals from Mirellas and Eto'o and a great penalty score from Baines (let's face it, he never misses does he) . We have to build on this now and make sure we keep putting the pressure on, any slacking or peeing about with the ball and will only have ourselves to blame. Personally, I think we can do this if we concentrate and keep focused which I am sure Roberto will be drilling into them. Looking forward to the rest of the matches now, let's keep praying for more big scores. I have to say though that Tim Howard was on fire last night what was it, twelve saves? We are so blessed to have this guy as our goalkeeper, I bet every team in the league would be after him if he ever wanted to transfer anywhere, can you imagine the fight over him. Tim Howard = God in Goal Come on you Bluetiful Blues and bring home the silverware.

If you tell somebody you are going to pay nearly 30 million for a young striker, and then say you are going to add one of the worlds most experienced players to reach him the ropes it makes it easier, but Etoo isn't just to mentor players. He's here to win his place and play. Totally in agreement. Eto'o is such a class act and I truly applaud what he has done for us so far #clap#.

Great to be back in Europe again and I was a bit worried at first but what a professional performance in the end. It wasn't our best display in terms of football and the penalty made things very comfortable for us but against unknown opposition it was a huge statement. Spurs were favourite for the trophy for some reason so I'd rather put my money on us than them any day of the week.
Howard had a lot to do and had a good night but I'm not getting all luvvy duvvy like some as he's been poor in other games this season as have a few others. When we have the ball we are very good with it but when we don't have it we don't deal with it well enough for my liking and should be breaking up the play better but we don't which makes me look at Barry and McCarthy and ask are they really doing as good a job as everybody credits them for. It was good to see Gibson back and he looked quite fit. Soon we will have Oviedo and Kone to pick from and that can only be good news.

They just don't realise it yet. He looks very composed and at ease of where he is on a pitch and has made things look simple so far.
