 Steven Pienaar lasted only eight minutes against Arsenal yesterday before he was replaced by Leon Osman, however Roberto Martinez has said that Pienaar is, “Carrying an injury at the moment and has to be strapped up to play”. The 32 year old midfielder looked bright against Leicester and started well against Arsenal but it is clear that the groin injury he has picked up will need to be dealt with. It is uncertain at this time how long such an injury will keep the South African out of action. Pienaar picking up an injury is a big blow for Everton who will have hoped he would have more luck this season after an injury hampered season last term. Source: NSNO |
