Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan has extended her contract with Everton. On the day the 27-year-old was included in Vera Pauw's 23-player World Cup squad, the Toffees have activated the option to extend the shotstopper’s contract by a year. Brosnan joined the club after leaving West Ham in 2021 and has gone on to establish herself as Ireland’s number one. "Last season was excellent, with a great group of girls and seeing the progress we made. I'm excited to be back next season and hopefully continue on that path and keep on improving," she said. Brosnan made 16 appearances in all competitions for Everton last term, during which Brian Sorensen's team finished sixth in the Women's Super League.
