Everton skipper Phil Jagielka is hoping the Goodison roar can propel the Blues to victory in next two matchesPhil Jagielka hopes that home comforts can rouse Everton’s players after the frustration of their opening day deadlock.
The Blues saw three points slip out of their grasp with just four minutes remaining on Saturday when Leicester City made it 2-2 at the Kingpower stadium.
But with consecutive home fixtures against Arsenal and Chelsea next up, the skipper hopes that the special Goodison Park atmosphere can lift the side’s spirits.
He said: “We were desperate for three points but there’s nothing we can do about it now. It puts a bit more emphasis on the next two games.
“Leicester had that little bit of an advantage with their fans behind them and being their first game back in the Premier League. It gave them an extra boost and hopefully we’ll have something similar next week.
“We have two eye catching games at home and we need to perform better if we’re going to come away with something.”

“We didn’t play well enough but if you look at the two goals we conceded you can pretty much say luck wasn’t on our side today,” he said.
“The cross came in and deflected straight off Sylvain to their striker for the first when he was six yards out.
