Everton striker Tom Cannon has joined Preston North End on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 season. The 20-year-old Academy graduate moves to Deepdale to link up with Ryan Lowe’s side who are currently 10th in the Championship. Cannon has enjoyed a season of progress with the Blues, making his Premier League debut at Bournemouth in November and scoring his maiden senior goal in Everton’s friendly against Western Sydney Wanderers. Cannon has also netted 12 times for Paul Tait’s Under-21s while training regularly with Frank Lampard’s First-Team squad. Everton FC

Following Broadhead to Ipswich, and now Tom, we've removed potential goal scorers from a squad that can't score goals, so you have to think we must be signing senior goal scorers.

Meanwhile we have strikers earning a massive wage and rarely score being preferred.
