My first year following Everton was the year Campell saved us. Fortunately most the games weren't on telly. This is hard to take. As far as Lampard...
Could it be he wobbled, stayed on his feet and now we're seeing that maybe he actually CAN manage a footballing team? Our team hasn't had a floppy gutless infuriating match in a while. There are at the moment some gem of players shining through.
The real danger is against the Watfords et al coming up. We always play like nancys against these clubs. Play with heart like we do against clubs that we're overmatched against and stay up, I bring Lampard back. These players are forming a good backbone if we can just get a few good, not billion dollar players, but good, and I like the way forward.
PLEASE don't spend a lot of money this summer. You've proven you DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT.

You've proven you DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT. We have had a glut of pretty bang average players , who I believe came here for the money. We all welcomed Moshiri and his money , but in all honesty throwing money around like confetti hasn't worked. We need a structure and proper scouting system. Maybe more influence in bringing through our own young players. Look how Gordon has shined given his opportunity and Lampard's faith in him. I think if we stay up , Lampard given time will do well . But staying up isn't guaranteed and will time be given to rebuild , which the club desperately needs oh and welcome to the forum kenners

You've proven you DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT. Welcome kenners. We've been badly run since David Moyes left, and one of the main issues has been a lack of longevity at the club, and a good case of too many chefs spoiling the broth. Our recruitment has been very naïve, and clearly we've shown very little foresight and acumen. It almost feels like a money laundering exercise on the part of Moshiri, such has been his lack of concern about spending, and there doesn't appear to be any plan, or philosophy in place. Regarding Lampard, I was on the fence with the appointment if honest, and he showed very little (to me) that he is capable when he first arrived, but in the last 6 weeks or so, I have started to notice a big improvement in the squad. Whether this is down to Frank, or whether it's something different, who knows, but I think giving him the benefit of doubt at the moment is fair. As a player, he was an outstanding midfielder, and given it's the midfield area of this team that needs the most attention, maybe, just maybe he knows what is needed in that area, and can make the right recruitment. I'm open minded. Regardless of our fate, a huge amount of players need to leave. I'm not swayed at all by any resurgence of form or effort, and I really don't see staying up as reason to be applauding them at the end of the season. We're in this situation because of many reasons, but the players are part of that reason, and many are simply not good enough to be representing this club. Ideally, we need new owners, as the current crop are clueless.

We need to see if we stay up first as players might have release clauses if we go down.
