 Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are considering a move for former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou, report the Mirror, after the experienced Ivorian was told that he can leave Ligue 1 side Lille OSC. Kalou enjoyed an excellent season for the Ligue 1 side last year, having been influential in their run to third place in the league and qualification for the Champions League, but he has fallen out with the club over his desire to return to English football. He didn’t play in the weekend’s 0-0 draw with newly promoted Metz on the opening weekend of the French season and now looks set for a return to the Premier League with either Tottenham Hotspur or Everton. Both clubs will be hoping to land a bargain in the shape of Kalou, who is likely to come relatively cheaply and had a solid, if unspectacular, record during his time at Stamford Bridge. |
