Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson will step down at the end of the season. The club announced on Tuesday early afternoon that Roy Hodgson’s last game in charge will be against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, 23rd May 2021. The Eagles currently languish in 13th in the Premier League standings following an inconsistent campaign. Roy Hodgson’s time in charge at Crystal Palace: Games in Charge – 160 Wins – 54 Draws – 36 Losses – 70 Points per match – 1.24 This is also not the first report of Lampard becoming Hodgson’s Eagles successor. A few days ago the rumours started and today it has picked up after the confirmation of Roy Hodgson stepping down. It is safe to say that Roy Hodgson has done all he can at Selhurst Park and it is time for a change. He has been with the London club for four seasons – joining them back in 2017. There is no denying that the ex-Three Lions manager was a major improvement from Frank de Boer, who still hasn’t won an English Premier League game. Sadly, Roy’s best finish was 11th place. Before his time is up in London, he will not be able to better 11th place as it depends on other results going in their favour while having to play Arsenal and Liverpool in their final two EPL fixtures.

He's been around a long time and a stalwart of the game.
