Two goals and an assist from Hayley Raso secured Everton a 6-0 win over Aston Villa.
After their FA Women’s Cup semi-final victory over Birmingham in midweek, Willie Kirk’s team produced a fantastic display to heap misery on winless Villa.
Everton started the brighter with Raso having her opening-minute shot saved by Villa keeper Lisa Weiss.
After 15 minutes, a counter-attack from Everton led to Lucy Graham forcing a smart save from Weiss in the Villa goal.
Raso called Weiss into more action moments later. A flick from striker Valerie Gauvin fell into the path of the winger who forced the German to tip the ball over the bar.
On the 20-minute mark, Everton’s early pressure paid off with a well-taken goal.
A smart cross from the left-hand side of the area by Claire Emsile found Raso, who tapped home from close range.
Everton got their second in as many minutes after a poor clearance from Villa keeper Weiss fell into the path of Australian Raso who scored her second of the game.
Everton were out of sight after 27 minutes.
Izzy Christiansen fed Emsile, who cut inside on her favoured right foot and curled a brilliant shot into the top-right corner.
Five minutes before the break Raso turned provider with a delicious cross from the right which invited Gauvin to head home.
It took Everton six minutes following the restart to pile more misery on Villa, substitute Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah finishing a run down the right with a cross which looped over Weiss into the far-left corner.
Two minutes later it was six.
Frenchwoman Gauvin turned and threaded through Emsile to round the keeper and complete the rout.
Villa has their best chance of the match seven minutes from time.
Striker Stine Larson latched onto a through ball from Elisha N'Dow but she could not beat Everton keeper Sandy Maclver.
Everton maintain their 100-per-cent winning start and go top of the table for at least a day, with Arsenal in second due to tackle Bristol City on Sunday.
Next up for the Toffees is a trip to their FA Women’s Cup final opponents Manchester City on Wednesday in the group stage of the FA WSL Cup.
