Newcastle linked with Tom DaviesTom Davies is reportedly a target for Newcastle United. The Mail report Steve Bruce is a big admirer of the 22-year-old and has asked Magpies bosses to make a move with Newcastle offering around £12m.

I think they're all sell-able - very few that you'd class as indispensable.

It's one thing that young, home-grown players are needed to keep experienced pros honest to their work-ethic on and off the pitch.
But how far has he developed, given the game time we've invested in him?
Selling him at an appropriate price is probably the best option.
I say "appropriate": so that owners of players we need to buy will take us far more seriously in negotiations, should we be seen as acting reasonably.

I think much of the criticism towards Tom is a bit unjust. He's not meant to be the super star in the team, and has always been young back up, but the team has been so poor he's seen much more pitch time than anybody expected. There are many others that need to go before him.

There are many others that need to go before him. Absolutely. It's simply unfortunate that he's only the second player (after Schneiderlin) to have been the subject of an (apparent) offer that suggests he may be one of the biggest flops.
The best thing that can happen
is that Tom has a flourishing career in Newcastle
AND that his replacements go on to even bigger things here at Everton.
