Everton Free School is inviting members of the local community to attend a consultation meeting on Monday 21 July to find out more about the new Spellow Lane development which will open in September 2014. Taking place at Spellow Lane Church from 4pm-7pm, the consultation meeting will provide local residents with an insight into the proposed Everton in the Community hub building that will complete the Community Campus within the Free School on Spellow Lane. The meeting will also provide residents with the opportunity to ask questions about the exciting development which will include facilities for Everton in the Community’s award winning activities. Launched in September 2012, Everton Free School caters for young people aged 14-19 and offers an alternative education pathway to those who have become detached from traditional schooling. The school delivers an innovative, personalised curriculum and is supported by local stakeholders, industry partners and Further and Higher Education. Everton in the Community were the first Club community scheme in the country to be awarded funded by the Government to open a Free School, a ground-breaking initiative for young people across Merseyside.
