Everton have triggered the release clause of Elche’s Colombia international midfielder Carlos Sanchez, reports in Spain claim.
Cope Elche say the Toffees will pay €2m to sign the 28-year-old, who featured at the World Cup for his country.
Sanchez’s contractual situation is complicated, however, as Elche own only 25% of his rights. Half of Sanchez’s registration belongs to one sports management team and half of the remaining 50% belongs to another, with Elche sharing half of the half.
But Everton are said to have lodged their bid with the LFP and Sanchez is close to agreeing a four-year deal with the Premier League side.

Lots of negativity regarding this being a legit report, so probably a no go. Didn't I say it was complicated ha ha.
