Everton will face competition from Wolfsburg to land Atletico Madrid midfielder Josuha Guilavogui. The France international, who has been capped five times at senior international level, failed to make an impact during his first season at Atletico, managing only one La Liga outing before being sent on loan to his former club Saint-Etienne in January. It is unclear if he will figure in manager Diego Simeone’s plans next term and Everton had been tipped to make a move for him. However, Wolfsburg are also monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation as they are fearful of losing Luiz Gustavo, who impressed for Brazil at the World Cup before their humiliating exit at the hands of Germany. Guilavogui signed a five-year deal when he joined Atletico last summer and would command a fee of around £9m.
