We won't look back in anger: Jagielka claims Everton don't hold any resentment towards Stoke
Everton defender Phil Jagielka insists there will be no lingering resentment when Stoke visit Goodison Park at the weekend.
The pair's clash in December saw Marouane Fellaini headbutt Ryan Shawcross in the face after what the Toffees believed was considerable provocation throughout the match.
The incident was missed by the match officials but Fellaini was later served with a three-match ban after video evidence was reviewed.
Fellaini served a three-match ban and missed much of the busy festive period and the midfielder, along with team-mate Steven Pienaar, is also suspended for the Potters’ visit on Saturday.
However, Jagielka stressed the players who are available will be focused on building on their most recent league outing, when they beat last season’s champions Manchester City.
'Obviously we didn’t enjoy the way it was when we played at Stoke,' said the centre-back.
'I don’t think we got any help from the officials at all. You can’t condone what Felli did but in the build-up he was getting wrestled all the time.
'We won’t look back at the game though because now we need to concentrate on being positive and getting the right results.'
With David Moyes’ side sixth in the table, six points off the top four, Jagielka believes they need to approach the final nine matches with a slightly different attitude.
'We need to win games now,' he told the Liverpool Echo.
'If we were to draw I’m not saying it would be the end of the season but we have to go out ultra-positive and really take it to teams and see how we go.'

The last time we played Stoke, I watched from the Stoke Supporters Club in Costa Del Silencio, Tenerife, with a beer costing but a single Euro, and a warm ray of Canary sunshine peering through the doorway.
The Stokies were great hosts.
Forward to the weekend, and so far nothing but ice cold snow, and memories of a tan. I hope we put a shift in, and then sign Shawcross on the cheap. evertonsmiley
