Everton considering move for £10m Demba Ba as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku Everton are considering a £10million move for Chelsea striker Demba Ba to replace Romelu Lukaku, who is set to return to the west Londoners after a successful season on loan at Goodison. Boss Roberto Martinez is looking for attacking reinforcements and is known to be an admirer of the 28-year-old former Newcastle hitman who has scored several vital goals in recent weeks. However, despite scoring the opener in the 2-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield and the winner against PSG in the Champions League quarter-final last month, Demba Ba is considered surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are looking to bring in at least one new striker over the summer. The Merseysiders made an enquiry for the French-born Senegal striker last summer before landing Lukaku and are understood to be weighing up another move. The club’s need for reinforcements is clear as the club look to challenge for a Champions League spot again with the added distraction of Europa League football next season. Chelsea have reportedly informed Bemba Ba he can leave the club this summer, while the striker himself has confirmed he wants to move after becoming disillusioned under Jose Mourinho. West Ham, Arsenal, West Brom and Fenerbahce have also been linked with bids. Source: The dirty disgusting rag of a Daily Mail
