Placing David Unsworth as their interim manager following Ronald Koeman’s sacking, Everton now need to make a decision: giving their U23 manager a real chance or appointing someone in his stead quickly.
With claims that former managers like David Moyes and currently employed ones such as Sean Dyche could be looked at, a new name has appeared, this time in France.
According to InfoMercato, ex-Aston Villa manager Rémi Garde is a name on Everton’s shortlist

Had to happen. Pity it never worked out. Are you happy with Unsy getting the nod for now?

Walsh shouldn't get away from being blamed as well. How he failed to find a striker to replace Lukaku is beyond me. Koeman never really had a style of play. I remember when he joined watching the pre season and wondering what style of play is he trying to incorporate? We really looked lost under him this season. Glad he's gone but the club need to know what they want out of a manager in terms of how Everton should play and 'getting' Everton. What does Walsh actually do? Nobody knows. That's the problem. If he's in charge of finding and signing players then he's doing a bad job of not signing players we need. Like a striker. This season could well be a disaster because of negligence by him and the board.

That sounds likely. Just annoying how oblique the club are with these type of things.
