Everton are on the verge of concluding an investment deal from Abu Dhabi. That's the claim at least from ex-Manchester United defender forward and now radio host Alan Brazil who made the suggestion on his talkSPORT radio show yesterday morning [07:00-07:30 segment, ~24-min mark]. Brazil gave no detail or further substance to his claim, merely saying that based on discussions he has had with "people" recently, a deal involving "Far East money" — presumably he meant "Middle East money" — from Abu Dhabi is "nearly a done deal." His comments were made in the context of discussion of reports in the newspapers regarding last night's AGM and the revelation of plans for a new Everton stadium so it is not clear if the investment to which he refers is in connection with a stadium development or a stake in Everton FC in general. "Deal imminent," Brazil said. "I think it's Far East money, I think it's Abu Dhabi, the deal's nearly done I'm told." Original Source: Fred Flintstone Alan Brazil
