Just reading through the stuff they have all printed in the press this week about W. Rooney I have seen it said in several reports that he was Sold to Man Utd for $20m + but If I remember rightly Bill told everyone he was sold for $30m pluss ad on's, Correct me if I am wrong of course! But did Bill lie to us to ease the pain of him being sold? Or was it so that he was sold so he could recover some of the debt? Either way does it bother you we were told porkies?

I honestly can't remember as it wsa so long ago but I'm sure even then I thought it was a realatively low fee.

I presume you meant pounds, not dollars. I haven't read anything about it to be honest, as most of the stuff in the newspapers these days is fabricated nonsense. Rooney's fee would have been visible in the Everton accounts, as well as the Man Utd accounts, wouldn't it?
