Everton boss Roberto Martinez: Ross Barkley and John Stones are going nowhere! EVERTON insist they do not need to cash in on Ross Barkley this summer - and won't put any sort of buy-out clause in his new contract. Barkley has become one the hottest properties in Europe after a spectacular season and the star midfielder been linked with a move away from Goodison Park. The Toffees are set to miss out on a lucrative Champions League payday and are pressing ahead with costly plans for a new ground, which could increase the temptation to sell. But Everton boss Roberto Martinez claims talented youngsters such as Barkley and defender John Stones are key to his future plans. Martinez said: "The one thing everyone needs to know is that we are not in need of selling players. "For me it is extremely exciting to see how players like Ross Barkley and John Stones have developed, and that will continue to be central to what we want to achieve here. "What is important as a football club is that you don't have to sell to survive. That is not going to happen. "Will there be new faces coming in and going out? Of course. With every window we need to get fresher, we need players coming in. But we do not have to sell." Everton plan to open negotiations with Barkley over a new contract in the summer as Martinez seeks to reward the 20-year-old for an impressive season. The Toffees also plan to offer improved terms to Stones, Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy. And Everton chairman Bill Kenwright says none of them will have buyout clauses inserted into their new contracts. Kenwright is wary after speculation regarding Marouane Fellaini last summer eventually saw the Belgian sold to Manchester United. "No-one has a price on his head like Marouane Fellaini had," Kenwright said. "I never want to do a contract like that again."
