WBA 1-7 Everton U18
A four-goal display from midfielder Anthony Gordon helped Everton Under-18s come from behind to record a stunning 7-1 away victory over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Paul Tait’s young Blues went behind early on, but responded as Fraser Hornby netted an equaliser on his first appearance after six months out with an injury.
An incredible second half followed, with the Toffees flying out of the blocks and taking the lead, courtesy of quick-fire goals from Alex Denny and Gordon.
Gordon’s work was far from over, though, as he netted three more times - two of which came from the penalty spot - before the full-time whistle.
Manasse Mampala also opened his account for the season as Everton ran riot in the Midlands.
Everton Under-18s: Hilton, Moore, Ouzounidis, Duke-McKenna, Hornby, Denny, Collins, Kerr, Anderson, Gordon, Richards. Substitutes: Simms, Scully, Astley, Mampala, Johnson.
