Olivier Giroud decides against move away from ArsenalA round-up of Everton transfer rumours and speculation from around the web Ronald Koeman isn't finished spending just yet. The Everton boss admitted as much ahead of the Blues' Europa League clash with Ruzomberok yesterday, saying that he still wanted new additions to make his side 'really strong' this season. Everyone knows that one of those players who Koeman is keen to bring to Everton is Gylfi Sigurdsson, with the Blues keen to tie up a deal in the coming days. Another who has been heavily linked with a move to Goodison Park is Olivier Giroud, with Koeman keen on another forward option to help replace Romelu Lukaku. But according to French website Le10Sport, Giroud has now decided to stay at Arsenal for the coming campaign. Liv Echo

Are the club playing smoke and mirrors? Since we sold Lukaku we've took a freebie and given another year to an old defender, so are we waiting to see if we can sell Ross Barkley before we can buy? I thought Moshiri wanted to invest in the club?

A report emanating from France this morning claims that Olivier Giroud's potential move from the Gunners to the Toffees in January is in Jeopardy, with L'Equipe reporting that the Frenchman is set to miss up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.
The 31-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal this season, following Alexandre Lacazette's big money move to the Emirates in the summer, and he has been tipped for an exit from the club, as he looks to keep his World Cup dreams with France alive.
Giroud was a £20 million transfer target for Everton in the summer, according to the Times, and the Merseyside outfit were believed to be back in for the 6ft 4in hitman ahead of the January transfer window.

I don't think any of the top strikers would come here to be honest. We have to be realistic, and realise we have nothing to offer in terms of silverware or prestige, and the only way we'll get there is if our owners do a similar thing to Man City, which Financial Fair Play would prevent.
