Antonee Robinson signs 2 year contract extensionAntonee Robinson targeted a first taste of senior football after signing a two-year contract extension with Everton. The 19-year-old left-back joined the Club's Academy at the age of 11 and was an integral part of David Unsworth’s Under-23s squad as the young Blues landed the inaugural Premier League 2 title in 2016/17. Robinson now hopes to impress Toffees manager Ronald Koeman and the rest of the first-team staff during pre-season. “I’m buzzing. I’ve been at Everton for eight years now and just delighted to keep that going,” he told evertontv. “This is the longest professional contract I’ve signed. I’m looking to kick on and keep improving as a player, knowing that my future is here. “I feel like I need first-team football this coming season, whether I impress during pre-season and stay here or end up going on out on loan somewhere. I feel like I did quite well last season, played most of the games and that is the next step for me now. “Every pre-season is extremely important because it sets you up for the year. You don’t want to miss a session and fall behind everyone else. “Everyone is trying to impress the first-team manager, whether you get moved up for an odd session, you get to go on a tour or you get moved up permanently, you have to be ready to impress. You have to get back in and show your quality straight away.” Robinson, a previous winner of the Club’s Under-18s Players’ Player of the Year award, has also thanked Under-23s coach David Unsworth and his assistant John Ebbrell for the role they have played in his development. “Unsy has been a big help for me,” added Robinson. “He keeps it nice and simple - tells me what I need to do and tells me where I need to improve. He doesn’t sugar coat anything and that is what I really needed. “John Ebbrell is the same. He pulls me aside in training and shows me how I can improve my game. “I have to thank both of them for how good they’ve been with me.” Everton FC

He could be the reason we sent Galloway out on loan.
