Mirallas in for calvert lewin , Barry in for Pennington. I'm still not convinced by his team choice. Sometimes I think it puts us under pressure from the off. We'll learn a lot tonight.

Everton return to a back four and make two changes for the trip to Manchester United. Kevin Mirallas and Gareth Barry both come in from the side that lost at Liverpool on Saturday, with youngsters Matthew Pennington and Dominic Calvert-Lewin dropping to the bench. They will be joined among the substitutes by 20-year-old midfielder Joe Williams, who would become the latest Academy graduate to make his first-team debut should he make an appearance at Old Trafford. The news means goalkeeper Joe Robles is protected by a back line comprising Mason Holgate, Leighton Baines, Ashley Williams and skipper Phil Jagielka. Ahead of them, Barry, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Tom Davies form the midfield, with Mirallas and Ross Barkley supporting lone forward Romelu Lukaku. “We knew we had two tough games within three days. We know we don’t have 25 players available, so we made choices,” said manager Ronald Koeman. “Last weekend was about the system. We’ve gone back to the normal system tonight I think it’s the best and freshest line-up to get something out of the game. “We know Old Trafford and Manchester United can be impressive but it’s still 11 v 11 and you have to show your quality on the pitch. Don’t be afraid, we know they are struggling at home and why can’t we make it difficult for them tonight?” Zlatan Ibrahimovic starts for Manchester United after seeing out a three-match ban, while former Blue Marouane Fellaini is also named in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI.
