Match Preview: Manchester UnitedTeam news, form, key men and more ahead of Old Trafford clash.TEAM NEWS Ronald Koeman has said both Morgan Schneiderlin and Aaron Lennon will not be involved against Manchester United.
“We will have the same players available as last weekend,” the Blues boss told reporters on Monday. “Morgan is doing really well. I think he can be available for the Leicester game, but not for tomorrow.
“It is the same for Lennon. He is not in a physical way to be part of the team tomorrow.”
Everton are still without James McCarthy (hamstring) and long-term absentees Seamus Coleman (leg), Yannick Bolasie (knee) and Ramiro Funes Mori (knee).
For Manchester United, Jose Mourinho is unsure over the fitness of Paul Pogba, who has a hamstring problem.
But the United manager has confirmed that defenders Phil Jones (toe), Chris Smalling (leg) and Juan Mata (groin) are all set for long spells on the sidelines.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera are back after respective suspensions, while Wayne Rooney also returned from a knee injury in the 0-0 draw with West Brom.
FORMEverton are looking to bounce back from just their second league defeat in 12 games as they were beaten in the Merseyside derby.
Prior to that however, the Blues had gained two clean sheets in successive home wins over West Brom and Hull City, scoring seven goals in the process.
United, meanwhile, occupy fifth position in the Premier League table, two ahead of the Toffees in seventh, and welcome their north-west rivals off the back of a 0-0 draw with the Baggies at Old Trafford on Saturday.
However, the last time United lost in the league was October’s 4-0 reverse at the hands of table-toppers Chelsea. Nevertheless, they have dropped points in draws against Stoke, Hull and Bournemouth since the turn of the year.
LAST MEETINGEverton 1-1 Manchester United, 4 December 2016
The Blues were navigating through a tricky patch of form when United visited Goodison Park back in December.
Defeats to Chelsea and Southampton had slowed a solid start to the campaign but Ronald Koeman’s side put in a hardworking performance to earn a point against Mourinho’s men.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s lob opened the scoring but after Marouane Fellaini upended Idrissa Gana Gueye in the box, Leighton Baines’ cool penalty made it 1-1.
KEY MANAnder HerreraThe Spaniard has been reinvented this season having come to United from Athletic Bilbao as an attack-minded midfielder.
While he has retained all of his creative prowess and vision, Herrera has been deployed as one of the sitting midfielders in the United engine room and has added defensive discipline and an eye for a tackle to his game.
Having progressed up the age groups with Spain, his move to United in June 2014 has helped him push his way into the full senior side and he has two caps to date, having made his bow against England in November 2016 at Wembley.
MAN IN THE MIDDLENeil Swarbrick
Lancashire native Swarbrick takes charge of his second Everton fixture of the campaign, having officiated the Blues’ 2-1 away win at West Brom back in August.
Since, he has taken charge of games in League One, the Championship and the top flight, and will make his 28th outing at Old Trafford.
So far, Swarbrick has issued 100 yellow cards and two reds.
