Everton rising star Matthew Pennington will be one of the special guests at the first Everton Business Club of 2017 at 30 James Street Hotel later this month. The event will be taking place on Thursday 30 March at the stunning and historic city centre venue from 5-7pm with the Blues’ defender joined by former players John Ebbrell and Franny Jeffers on the distinguished panel. The trio of Toffees will all be quizzed on-stage by host Darren Griffiths about each of their careers in the world of football as well as talking about the ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is’ campaign that they have all been heavily involved in supporting in the hopes of helping to raise £230,000 for a supported-living initiative to help youngsters in Liverpool on the brink of homelessness. Also joining the panel is Phil Duffy, Everton in the Community’s Executive Director, who will be discussing a recent visit to the ‘More than Football’ conference held in Benfica where he was invited to discuss how Everton Football Club are committed to their social responsibilities through the work of Everton in the Community and their community engagement. The recently appointed Executive Director will also be talking about the new Everton in the Community buildings by Goodison Park - the Free School, Community Hub and St Francis De Sales - all built to create a lasting legacy in the local area. The Everton Business Club continues to offer Evertonians the chance to network with fellow supporters and leading organisations from across the region, providing local companies and individuals the opportunity to mix their love of football with commerce. The other benefits that Business Club members enjoy include Company name, brief description of business and a link to company website on the Everton Business Club directory. An invitation to exclusive quarterly networking events with leading business speakers and Everton legends. An invitation to a relevant Everton in the Community programme site visit, if desired. The opportunity to sponsor an event and showcase your business to a wider audience.
