Yannick Bolasie: Everton winger out for possibly a year, says Ronald KoemanEverton's Yannick Bolasie damaged his right knee in a challenge with Manchester United's Anthony MartialEverton winger Yannick Bolasie could be out for a year with a knee injury, says manager Ronald Koeman. Bolasie, 27, injured his right knee during the Toffees' 1-1 draw with Manchester United on 4 December. Dutch manager Koeman said on Wednesday: "It will be around 11-12 months before he is back. That is a big disappointment but he will come back." Bolasie is due to have a second operation - on his anterior cruciate ligament - in the coming weeks. BBC

The Toffees haven't yet seen the best of Yala, and that's a shame. A signed pic of him still hangs on my office wall. I just hope he gets back to his very best for Everton and I am sure he will repay you every penny you paid for him.

Yannick Bolasie is on the mend and he wants the world to know it. The Everton winger suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament back in December 2016 in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United. The injury is one that could keep the former Crystal Palace man out for a year, and Bolasie has had to go under the knife twice as a result. But Everton's £28million signing has remained optimistic and showed the world he is most definitely recovering well. I have just come back from the second op, putting the work in behind the scenes, I am looking to get back to full strength," said Bolasie. "It has been a long process but I'm taking it each day at a time and I will be back to where I want to be, I can't wait, trying to do my thing again. "But for now it's step by step and I'm trying to keep it calm, and obviously I'm going to let god guide me in the process."
